There is an old saying “We get too soon old, and too late smart” and I am a living testament to that. For the 10 years that I have lived here I have been forcing myself to get up at the crack of dawn twice a week to do laundry (community laundry rooms). Truth to tell it is not really necessary – I’ve discovered (actually known) that afternoons no one is ever using the laundry rooms. Why have I been torturing myself all these years, forcing myself into some unnecessary, irrational ‘schedule’ that doesn’t serve me in any way? And certainly keeps me from getting a decent night’s sleep. So last week I decided to
And it’s been lovely!
I wonder about this whole “Frozen” thing. The first movie came out in 2013, the follow-up, “Frozen 2”, came out in 2019. My granddaughters are 3 and 5 years old – they are just as devoted to Frozen 1 as they are to Frozen 2.
I really don’t enjoy animated anything. Cartoons are just not my thing, never were, going back to Farmer Grey. There is one animated thing I like and that’s the movie Coraline. I don’t do Disney either. Never have seen the attraction there.
Yeah, sure I watched the Mickey Mouse Club , can’t say I remember much about it aside from Jiminy Cricket. The only way I can spell the word “encyclopedia” is by singing it. Disney characters, the whole Disney experience never captured my fancy. I hated most of the Disney films that I was forced to watch and I still get upset that Bambi’s mother died. (And that’s all I remember about the movie.) I just never got the whole princess thing either. Personally, I wanted to be a Duchess.
I love Frozen and I love seeing you as Elsa! I refuse to watch Bambi ever again but I’ve seen Frozen numerous times and now that song will be in my head all day! I’m glad you decided to switch to afternoon laundry time instead of the crack of dawn. It was definitely time to let that goooo!

Actually, yesterday I did the sheets at 1:30 in the afternoon. This morning I work up a little before 7am, decided to get out of bed because I was done sleeping, did the usual bathroom stuff, turned on the coffee and then checked the laundry app – laundry room was empty do I did the usual Monday load of laundry. I didn’t set the alarm for this morning; I didn’t obsess all night about getting up early, or someone beating me to the laundry room – I did indeed just ‘let it go’!

Coral is is a favorite of both my kiddos. As was Frozen in its heyday.
I’m glad you made an adjustment that suited your needs. Life is too short to spend a minute of it stressed over laundry. It is my least favorite chore and I wish it didn’t exist.

Frozen 1 and 2 are still in their heyday as far as my granddaughters are concerned! I guess each group of little princesses will gloam onto it in turn. I have no idea what it is about (if anything).
I love doing laundry – when I have my own washer/dryer. I like the nice clean clothes and folding them all nice and tidy…I do love folding clothes!

“Let it go” are three words I find myself saying aloud to myself– frequently of late. It is the latchkey to peace in the daily turmoil of life. I like you in the video!

George’s health has declined rapidly in the last 6 weeks and I simply can’t do it all – perfectionism is NOT a viable MO , hence “Let it go” . Good enough is good enough. Best decision I’ve ever made – I’m actually getting some sleep because I’m letting the anxiety go too!
